Abstract:
To detect double feed when feeding originals, without using a mechanism dedicated to detection of double feed.SOLUTION: The device detects image density of an original expressed by image information on the basis of the image information. In a case where a difference between a first image density being an image density related with a first original detected on the basis of first image information and second image density being an image density related with a second original detected on the basis of second image information is larger than a predetermined value, the device detects occurrence of overlapping of the first original or the second original.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
