Abstract:
To improve processing speed of calculation of motion information of an image.SOLUTION: An image processing device of an embodiment determines a representative motion vector indicating main motions of local image areas in each of a plurality of images; extracts similar motion vectors similar to the representative motion vector from the local image areas; and estimates motion information for the whole image by using the extracted similar motion vectors. The image processing device calculates a feature of the plurality of motion vectors in the local image areas; and determines the representative motion vector from the motion vectors selected on the basis of the feature.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
