Abstract:
To provide an image processing device and an image processing method which can appropriately detect a parking space in accordance with a property of the parking space.SOLUTION: An image processing device 100 comprises: a partition line detecting part 112 that detects a partition line from an overhead image based on an image signal obtained by a camera 20 that photographs a circumference of a vehicle; a parking space detecting part 113 that detects a parking space on the basis of the detected partition line; an in-parking space scanning part 115 that obtains a division point by dividing each of one line segment joining one end points of a pair of face-to-face sides of the partition line constituting the detected parking space to each other and the other line segment joining the other end points to each other, by predetermined ratios, and scans the overhead image so that the image passes through the obtained one and other division points to detect an edge; and a determining part 115 that determines a property of the parking space on the basis of a state of the detected edge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
