Abstract:
To avoid overlapping of different dots of respective colors as much as possible in a wide region in a multi-value image of different dots of plural colors.SOLUTION: A multi-drop ink jet recording type image processing apparatus for expressing plural colors of plural gradations with the distribution of dots of two or more different colors, comprises: a rasterization processing unit 22 which generates raster image data from a received input image; a color conversion unit 23 which converts the raster image data into an image constituted by a recording element color; and a halftone processing unit 24 which generates an image by determining the size of dots and the discharge position of ink of respective colors such that the pixel where the dots of the respective colors becomes minimum on the basis of the density value of a prescribed range to the image subjected to color conversion by the color conversion unit 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
