To improve commercial value of a digital camera by adding snapshot photography function with which a photographing error hardly occurs.

When an ON signal is sent from a still image recording button 15a during a recording period of a moving image, a control core circuit 14 determines that still photography for a snapshot is instructed from the outside, and displays the moving image being imaged at present and a still image to be recorded as a snapshot on a display 9 in parallel. In five seconds in which the still image is displayed in parallel, a user can confirm, on the display 9, whether a desired snapshot can be taken or not. Further, the photographed moving image data and still image data are filtered in a common image data correction circuit 4.
