Abstract:
To provide a technique which corrects image quality deterioration due to a point spread function of an imaging optical system with reduced noise amplification.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus is provided which comprises image processing means for applying correction processing of correcting image quality deterioration due to a point spread function of an imaging optical system, to an input image to generate a corrected image and is characterized in that a corrected component included in the corrected image and derived from the correction processing is at least partially based on a second component obtained by applying a low pass filter to a first component corresponding to a change which occurs in the input image by applying the point spread function to the input image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
