Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an image processing method capable of making the sharpness of a reproduced image in X and Y directions to be nearly the same and constant in an reproducing device after performing frequency processing.
CONSTITUTION: In the image processing method subjecting digital image data indicating the respective pixel values of pixels aligned in the X, Y directions to the arithmetic processing of Q'=Qorg+β(Qorg-Qus) by representing original image data of the respective pixels by Qorg, the blurred mask data corresponding to a super-low spatial frequency as to the pixel by Qus and the emphasis coefficient by β and sending the image data after arithmetic processing to an image reproducing device for reproducing the image by means of X, Y scanning, the arithmetic processing is performed under mutually different characteristics in the X, Y directions in accordance with the difference of responces in the X, Y directions of the image reproducing device.
