Abstract:
To provide an image processing method for detecting a moving body accurately from a range image.SOLUTION: An information processing system comprises a monitoring server 10, a range image camera C arranged in a position which can capture a range image in a room, which is a first area where a bed is disposed for a person to lie, a monitoring terminal 30 installed in a place apart from the first area, such as in a monitoring room where a user who is a cared person exists, and a portable terminal 40. The monitoring server 10 (image processing apparatus) includes: a direction determination unit 12 which detects a plane spreading along a substantial height direction in the range image, and determines a vertical direction in the range image on the basis of the detected plane; and processing units 13, 14 configured to execute image processing on the range image on the basis of the determined vertical direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
