Abstract:
To suppress print quality deterioration even in a case where printing has to be performed, while an object is located across a boundary of a band image.SOLUTION: A white neighborhood calculation unit calculates the number of white neighborhood being the number of pairs which are pairs composed of a first pixel in a target line and a second pixel adjacent to the first pixel in an adjacent line, and at least one of the first pixel and the second pixel being a pixel of white neighborhood. The pixel of white neighborhood is a pixel satisfying at least one of a condition that chroma is equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold and a condition that brightness is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold. In a case where it is determined that a predetermined boundary condition indicating that the number of white neighborhood in the target line is equal to or larger than the first threshold is satisfied, a determining unit determines determination band data so as to include the target line in a determination band image. The target line is included in a first provisional band image and is a line being closest to a boundary between the first provisional band image and a second provisional band image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
