To provide a method and system for executing a sensitivity difference correcting process of image signals which is generated by a single plate type imaging element through a color filter.
A sensitivity difference correction is executed with the image signal generated by a single plate type imaging element through a color filter, for example, Gr, Gb signals contained in an RGB signal. A pixel value of a filter part having the same color with a pixel to be corrected around the pixel to be corrected is acquired. A difference between weighting pixel value averages a, b corresponding to the distance from the pixel to be corrected in each pixel group of two kinds of pixel groups A and B being sorted according to pixel position, is added to the pixel value of the pixel to be corrected, for calculating an addition value. An average value between the pixel value of the pixel to be corrected and the addition value is calculated as a corrected pixel value of the pixel to be corrected.
