PURPOSE: To provide an image processing system with a small memory capacity with respect to the image processing system applying various processing to image data.

CONSTITUTION: The system is provided with a 1st storage means 4 to store data, an arithmetic processing means 1 reading or writing data from/to the 1st storage means 4 and including a means for arithmetic processing of data, an image processing means 2 reading or writing data from/to the 1st storage means 4 and including a means for processing the data, and a changeover control means 3 connecting the arithmetic processing means 1 or the image processing means 2 to the 1st storage means 4 and controlling the data read or write from/to the 1st storage means 4.
