Abstract:
PURPOSE:To sufficiently exactly and easily execute an external world recognition in spite of existence of a wiping means by fetching an image from which an image of the wiping means has been cancelled, from an image which has been inputted to an image input means at the time of operation of the wiping means. CONSTITUTION:An image which has been inputted to an image sensor 2 is written in a frame memory 12 at every prescribed sampling interval. When a wiper 4 is not being operated, the image which has been written in the frame memory 12 is inputted to an external world recognition use image processing means 20 through a buffer memory 18. On the other hand, when the wiper 4 is being operated, the image is inputted plural times at a prescribed sampling interval during one sweep of the wiper 4 in an image fetching means 6, only an image part of a prescribed effective area to which so many raindrops are not adhering immediately after a sweep by the wiper at the time of each input is written in the frame memory 12, and after one sweep, the image parts of plural pieces of effective areas are synthesized by the buffer memory 18 and one piece of whole image is generated.
