Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the decline in throughput due to calibration execution as much as possible and to perform setting appropriately corresponding to the request of a user relating to the setting of a density correction processing, including the execution of calibration in a printer.
SOLUTION: In order to perform the setting of the density correction processing including the case of not performing density correction, test printing is performed for respective density correction modes, and the user selects and sets one of the modes from the test printed results of the beginning and after printing a scheduled sheet number. In the test printing, a scheduled printing sheet number is set first (S501), a prediction density table for predicting the density characteristics of a first page in the case of correcting density in a standard mode (S502) is prepared (S503), and the prescribed plotting of the test printing is performed based on a table (S504). Thereafter, similarly, the test printing, after printing the schedule sheet number when performing the correction of the first page in the case of not performing the correction and after printing the scheduled sheet number in the case of not performing the correction is respectively performed.
