Abstract:
To highly reliably evaluate the noise of a medical image even when noise components are not uniform.
An image processor includes: a storage part 22 for storing data for the medical image; a component separation processing part 26 for estimating a noise component distribution by allowing a signal component distribution to be expressed by a polynomial expression to be approximated with respect to an observation signal distribution concerning the partial area of the medical image; and an SNR calculating part 27 for calculating a noise index concerning the partial area being the same as the former partial area or the partial area of another position, based on the estimated noise component distribution.
