Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can share control signals and a control method of controlling an interface for image data between an encoding and encoding part and an image memory and an interface for code data between the encoding and decoding part and a memory control part irrelevantly to a compression/expansion technique.
SOLUTION: The image processor equipped with an image memory which stores image data of one screen, the memory control part which reads the image data out of the image memory, and an encoding part which encodes the image data is characterized in that the memory control part and encoding part are connected through a 1st image data control signal indicating a transfer period wherein the image data of one screen are transferred, a 2nd image data control signal indicating that the memory control part is outputting effective image data, and a 3rd image data control signal showing that the encoding part is able to obtain code data.
