To improve image preservability by covering an image to be protected with an image protective layer containing a monophenol antioxidant.
An image protective layer 3 contains at least a light transmission resin and a monophenol antioxidant (antioxidant). As the resin, for example, a methylcellulose or the like is used. As the antioxidant, a high molecular weight phenol compound or the like can be mention. A melting point of the antioxidant is preferably 50°C or higher. A content of the antioxidant is 1 to 20 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. of the resin. A thickness of layer 3 is about 0.1 to 100 μm, and as an ultraviolet absorbent, for example, a hindered amine or the like is used. In the case of covering an image with the layer 3, a base material 2 is heated from another main surface by a thermal head or the like in a state in which a surface of the film 1 in which the layer 3 is laminated and a surface of photographic paper in which an image is formed are opposed.
