The PC 4 requests the image data selected by the user to a server device 3 on the basis of the acquired compressed image data. When image data requested by the PC 4 are stored in an HDD 33, the server device 3 notifies the PC 4 that the upload of the image data has been completed, and when the image data are not stored in the HDD 33, the server device 3 adds 1 to the number of requests of the image data. Also, the server device 3 acquires the image data from the digital camera 1 in the order of the larger number of requests, and makes an HDD 33 store the image data, and when the image data are registered in the HDD 33, the server device 3 reports to the PC 4 that the upload of the image data has been completed.
