Title:
IMAGE READER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6284655
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a light convergence system by providing two plane light reflecting mirrors which are arranged perpendicularly to a photoscanning direction and also at right angles to an optical fiber. CONSTITUTION:The plane reflecting mirrors 10 and 11 are arranged perpendicularly to a photoscanning surface and also at right angles to the optical fiber. Scattered light from a film passes through a cylindrical lens 6 and then the majority of it is image-formed directly on the incidence end of the optical fiber 7. The cylindrical lens 6 has no lens operation in the photoscanning direction, so luminous flux reflected by a plane reflecting mirror travels to a position symmetrical to the plane reflecting mirror in the same way with the absence of the plane reflecting mirror. Therefore, the optical fiber 7 operates equivalently to an optical fiber 7'. Consequently, the optical fibers are reduced.
