Abstract:
To provide an image reading apparatus compatible with components of various configurations such as a line image sensor and an AFE.
An image reading apparatus has a rearranging means for rearranging image data of each channel for each of RGB colors output from a three-line image sensor having one or more channels (ch) for RGB colors in the order of channel numbers (ch_no) so as to form one-line RGB image data. The rearranging means calculates a sensor ch_no of RGB image data for each channel, in accordance with a predetermined formula, based on various setting values and various counter values corresponding to the order of input RGB image data of channels, and rearranges the image data in the order of the sensor ch_no.
