Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling and to miniaturize a device by simplifying an original pressurizing means, and to more surely adhere an original to a read means. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a carrying means such as various kinds of rollers for carrying an original, a contact image sensor for reading an image of the original carried on a reading face, an original-pressurizing means for pressurizing the original on the reading face of the contact image sensor, and an upper original guide and a lower original guide forming the carriage path of the original. Both edges of the original-pressurizing means in a width direction orthogonally crossing an original-carrying direction are supported by the upper original guide, so as not to receive regulations from anywhere within a prescribed range (for example, an idle part between a mounting hole 5a1 of a white sheet 5a and a triangular rib 6a of an upper original guide).
