Abstract:
To provide a mechanism for selectively scanning only required pages.SOLUTION: Disclosed herein are an image reading method and an image reading device for scanning a plurality of pages from a document. In an embodiment, the method comprises acquiring a user input, comprising one of a page range or a page skip interval from a user. The user input indicates a plurality of pages to be scanned from the document. Further, the method comprises processing the user input to determine the plurality of pages of the document, which need to be selectively scanned from the document. In an embodiment, the present disclosure helps users in scanning only required pages from a document. As a result, the present disclosure enhances user experience and improves speed of scanning.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
