Picked up image data and print information describing the marker of image data the print of which is desired are recorded in a memory card of an electronic camera. A printer with which the electronic camera is directly connected fetches the print information and prints out pieces of image data determined in the fetched print information by sequentially fetching them from the electronic camera. The printer transmits an information deletion signal to the electronic camera after printing all the pieces of image data determined in the print information. The electronic camera deletes the print information the print of which is conducted by receiving the information deletion signal.
