To provide an image recording device inside an elevator car capable of easily taking out images of inside of an elevator car and elongating the service life of a semiconductor memory used as a recording medium.
The image recording device inside the elevator car is provided with a body case 6 installed inside the elevator car; an imaging part 7 mounted to the body case 6 and imaging inside of the car; a recording part 8 mounted to the body case 6 and detachably fitted with the semiconductor memory 12 in which data on the image obtained by the imaging part 7; a margin determination means for determining whether or not a recording region of the semiconductor memory 12 has a margin portion; a selection means for selecting a recording region in which the oldest data is recorded when the recording region of the semiconductor memory 12 has no margin portion; and an overwriting means for overwriting data on the obtained image in the selected recording region.
