PURPOSE: To obtain a method and a device having simple constitution for image recording which performs image recording on a continuous recording form with small recording form stress by using a drum type photosensitive body.
CONSTITUTION: This image recording method forms a visible image on the drum type photosensitive body 1 which has a light nonsensitive area 6 partially and transfers the visible image to the continuous recording form 10 at a transfer part, When the light nonsensitive area 6 reaches the transfer part, the conveyance of the recording form 10 in contact with the photosensitive body 1 is interrupted and after the light nonsensitive area 6 passes the transfer part, the conveyance of the recording form 10 in contact with the photosensitive body 1 is started. Further, a buffer part 12 is provided on the downstream passage for the continuous recording form 10 at least on the downstream side of the transfer part and variation in the conveying direction of the recording form 10 due to the interruption of the conveyance of the recording form 10 at the transfer part is absorbed at the buffer part 12 to make the conveying speed of the recording form 10 constant on the output side of the buffer part 12.
