Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing apparatus capable of shortening the time required for the start of displaying an image even when the capacity of an image data file is large. SOLUTION: Upon receiving an image reproduction request from a user, a control microcomputer 16 reads the header including a thumbnail image in an image data file from a memory card 18 into a DRAM 14. The header is extended in an image processing circuit 12, and is converted into a prescribed size in a resolution converter 15 to being displayed on an image displaying section 13. Subsequently, the microcomputer 16 reads the remaining part including a main image from the memory card 18 into the DRAM 14. The remaining part is extended in the circuit 12, and is converted into a prescribed size in the converter 15 to being displayed on the section 13.
