Abstract:
To provide means for improving the accuracy of retrieving image data by using supplemental data.SOLUTION: An image retrieval system includes: imaging means for imaging a subject to output image data; recognition means for classifying the subject to output a subject classification result; supplemental data acquisition means for acquiring supplemental data; data type selection means for selecting a supplemental data type in order to improve the retrieval accuracy of the subject on the basis of the subject classification result; supplemental data selection means for selecting object supplemental data from the supplemental data on the basis of the supplemental data type; a database storing object information on the subject; and retrieval means for performing retrieval from the database by using the image data and the supplemental data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
