Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image retrieving device for reducing the selection load of a user, and for improving the efficiency of a retrieving work.
SOLUTION: After an outside storage medium 12 for storing image data and information added to each image data is inserted into an information reading part 14, a retrieval condition is interactively inputted from an inputting means 16 according to a message displayed on the screen of a display means 20. A retrieving means 18 extracts image data pertinent to the retrieval condition instructed by a user by using information for retrieval automatically generated and applied by analyzing preliminarily recorded information for retrieval accompanied with the image data and/or the information read from the outside storage medium. 12. The extracted image is displayed as a list as a candidate image on the display means 20. Album image data are prepared according to the selection of a user and the instruction of layout information. Then, the album image is outputted in a prescribed configuration such as a print 24 by an outputting means 22.
