PURPOSE: To provide an image sensor capable of reducing the loss of light applied from a light emitting part to a target to be picked up, reducing the dispersion of light distribution, reducing the number of constitutional parts, and reducing production cost and size.
CONSTITUTION: Light reflecting faces 18a, 19a, 20 are arranged on the periphery of an optical path from the light emitting part 13 up to a transparent cover 12 on which the target W to be picked up is mounted and light from the light emitting part 13 is applied to the transparent glass 12 mounting the target W while being reflected by the reflecting faces 18a, 19a without reducing its light quantity. Then the reflected light reflected on the target W is converged by a condenser lens 16, detected by a light receiving part 14 formed on the same base as the light emitting part 13 and converted into an electric signal.
