Abstract:
To provide an image pickup device and an imaging apparatus suitable for focus detection without using a high-level pixel interpolation process and a complicated optical system.SOLUTION: An image pickup device 101 comprises a first image pickup device and a second image pickup device arranged on an identical optical path on its light-incident side. A first image pickup device 103 has a first photoelectric conversion unit for photoelectrically converting light of a first color to generate an electric charge, and a second image pickup device 102 has a second photoelectric conversion unit for photoelectrically converting the complementary color light of the first color transmitted through the first photoelectric conversion unit, to generate electric charge.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
