To provide an image signal processing device and method of converting a precise image of a single plate color system to a broadcasting sub-image having a low resolution, and also to provide a program therefor.

An image signal processing device 1 includes a first dividing means (12) for dividing an image of a single plate color system consisting of column pixel number 4 m×row pixel number 2n into video signals of four R, G, B and W pixel components in units of pixels in a block region of column pixel number 2×row pixel number 2 in adjacent continual pixel arrangement; a second dividing means (14) for dividing each of the 4 images into two broadcasting subimages with a G video of pixel components G and a W video of pixel components W being used as bases, and with pixels of R and B videos allocated to G and W videos for each column; and a means (16) for transmitting pixels of each subimage corresponding to a block of 4×2 pixels in the image of the single plate color system.
