To provide an image synthesizer, an image output program, an image synthesizing program storage medium and an image output method that can output a plurality of pickup images in an easy-to-view layout on a single map.
The image synthesizer comprises an image acquisition part for acquiring a plurality of pickup images, a pickup location acquisition part for acquiring the pickup locations of the plurality of pickup images, a map image acquisition part for acquiring a map image representing an area covering the plurality of pickup locations, an image classification part for classifying the plurality of pickup images into a plurality of groups according to predetermined classification standards, a representative image decision part for deciding, in each classified group, one or more representative images whose pickup locations are spaced by a predetermined distance or longer out of the pickup images belonging to the group, and an image synthesizing part for synthesizing the representative images in positions on the map image corresponding to the pickup locations.
