PURPOSE: To allow the easy execution of the adjustment to parallel the optical axis of a spectral illuminating system and the optical axis of a synthesizing and projecting system without degrading image quality in spite of the presence of misalignment in both optical axes by constituting the above device in such a manner that the angle with the optical axis of a luminous flux reflecting means can be adjusted.
CONSTITUTION: This device is so constituted that the angle with the optical axis O of an aluminum mirror 14 as a reflecting means for blue light existing on the light source side of a B liquid crystal panel 15P and a G dichroic mirror 13 as a reflecting means for green light existing on the light source side of a G liquid crystal panel 20P can be adjusted. Namely, the aluminum mirror 14 and the dichroic mirror 13 can be turned and adjusted respectively around the points P and Q intersecting with the optical axis O of the spectral illuminating system. The generation of the misalignment in the synthesized image and the degradation in the image quality are obviated even if the angle is adjusted by turning the aluminum mirror 14 or the dichroic mirror 12 around the axes P and R.
