A series of information related to the image transmission attached to images to be transmitted are a date 320, the time 321 at the time of transmitting the images, information 323 related to the telephone number of the origin of the images and the name 324 of the sender. Then, by the operation by an operation panel, the sender name 324 is selected/changed corresponding to an actual person who transmits the images, and the images are transmitted. Also, the total number of pages to be transmitted and the information 325 for indicating which page corresponds to the image is included. That is, the name of the image sender is selected and entered onto the images to be transmitted at the time of the image transmission, and the images are transmitted. Thus, at the time of transmitting the images, an origination side user specifies the informing destination of communication result information and executes efficient image transmission by performing the simple work of selecting the name of the transmitter of the images.
