Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus in which desired color correction can be carried out easily without requiring manual color correction, e.g. imaging can be carried out with a desired skin color easily.
SOLUTION: A brightness signal gray scale conversion means (5) can vary the I/O characteristics such that variation of an output signal becomes relatively large in the level range of a brightness signal being inputted when imaging is carried out with a correction object color. A color difference signal gray scale conversion means (6) can vary the I/O characteristics such that variation of an output signal becomes relatively large in the level range of a color difference signal being inputted when imaging is carried out with a correction object color. A gain control means (7) controls gain such that the output signal varies reversely to variation of the signal due to variation of I/O characteristics caused by the color difference signal gray scale conversion means (6).
