Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of easily performing focusing when the focusing is manually performed, without moving a focus lens back and forth.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imaging device that picks up a subject image formed by a photographic optical system; a drive part that drives a focus lens performing focusing on the subject arranged within the photographic optical system, along an optical axis; an operation member that instructs the drive part to drive the focus lens according to at least one of an operation direction or an operation amount; a focus detection part that detects the focus by a correlation operation using pixel signals obtained from the imaging device; and a control part that controls the drive part so as to start the drive of the focus lens according to operation of the operation member and stop the drive of the focus lens according to the output of the focus detection part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
