Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that suppresses electric power from being wasted by: detecting attitude change of the imaging apparatus by an attitude detection sensor etc.; warning a user when determining that the user is not using the apparatus from an output state of an imaging element, and automatically powering off the apparatus when the user performs no operation for a certain time.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus has an imaging element for photoelectrically converting a formed optical image of a subject, a plurality of display units for displaying the picked-up image, attitude detection means capable of detecting an attitude and a shake amount of the imaging apparatus, and proximity detection means for switching the display between the plurality of display units, and is characterized: by means for determining a photographing state from output of the imaging element and a change quantity of the attitude detection means; and in warning the user that a display unit is in display operation in a plurality of stages.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
