Abstract:
To solve a problem that only a subject that allows light to pass therethrough can be imaged.
An imaging device includes: a semiconductor substrate that contains materials such as silicon, gallium nitride or gallium arsenide; a plurality of imaging elements such as CMOS image sensors that are formed on the semiconductor substrate; a light emitting element that adjoins the imaging elements and contains a light emitting diode or the like formed on the semiconductor substrate; and an optical element such as a half mirror that is formed on a light path of the plurality of imaging elements and directs light from the light emitting element to an alienating direction that is parallel to the light path of the plurality of imaging elements.
