Abstract:

To provide an imaging apparatus capable of allowing a user to photograph oneself in 3D in an appropriate and easy manner without missing whole or a part of the user's face on the image.

A camera 1 having a plurality of imaging parts disposed along a prescribed direction, serves as an imaging apparatus capable of photographing 3D images. The camera 1 includes: a display part 5 that acquires 3D images from two imaging parts 2R and 2L to display stereoscopic 3D images; and a control part 21 that controls to acquire a 3D image, when a user's face as a subject is detected in an overlapping area where two images, which are acquired by the photographing of the imaging parts 2R and 2L in a self photographing mode, are overlapped with each other, and when the user's whole face is included in a trimmed area without a part of the face being out of the frame when the two images are trimmed to be stereoscopically displayed in the display part 5.
