To solve the problem that a diaphragm blade in a lens resonates by vibration applied to an imaging apparatus due to a factor of passage of a vehicle and that noise is generated in an image imaged due to the vibration of the diaphragm blade, especially, that a diameter of the diaphragm blade becomes large and the blade easily resonates in the case of a bright object since a diaphragm is narrowed down and an incident ray volume is to be reduced while the diameter of the diaphragm blade becomes small and the resonance is difficult to occur in the case of a dark object since the diaphragm is opened and the incident ray volume is increased in the imaging apparatus installed indoors and outdoors.

The imaging apparatus includes: a dimmer filter which can be attached/detached and switched; the lens which allows diaphragm control; an imaging element which photoelectrically converts incident light and generating a video signal; a gain control section for controlling a signal level of the video signal; a vibration detection section for detecting the vibration; and a control section for controlling attachment/detachment or switching of the dimmer filter, narrowing-down of the lens, level adjustment of the gain control section in accordance with output of the vibration detection section.
