Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent thermal failure or uneven fixing even if a cutter 5 is interposed between a fixing section 4 and a waste box 6 and a sheet is cut while stopping of sheet feed.
SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprising a section 2 for feeding a roll sheet 1, a print section 3 for transferring an image to the roll sheet 1, a section 4 for fixing the transferred image to the roll sheet 1 by hot press, a cutter 5 for cutting the fixed roll sheet 1, a sheet mounting table 7 for containing the roll sheet 1 thus cut is further provided with means for releasing pressure being applied at the fixing section 4 when the cutter 5 cuts the roll sheet 1, and the cutter 5 is interposed between the fixing section 4 and a waste box 6.
