To reduce a lighting cycle of a strobe to be lit by being synchronized with an electronic shutter, thereby no flickering is felt by human eyes.

The electronic shutter is operated with 1/12 cycles which is the same as that of a vertical synchronization signal. The strobe is lit in timing by which the electronic shutter is operated to obtain an image without blur. Furthermore, the strobe is lit in a 1-60 second cycle, for example, so that its flicker is not sensed as blink by the human eyes. Thus, no flicker is sensed and the strobe is felt to be constantly lit to the human eyes.
