To provide a technique that, even when the state of a subject changes, can record the voice from the subject while preventing a change in the volume of the voice.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus of the present invention has: imaging means that picks up an image of a subject; connection means that is connected with an external microphone; and adjustment means that, based on the direction of predetermined parts of the subject in the angle of view of the image picked up by the imaging means, adjusts the gain of a first voice signal input from the external microphone.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
