To provide a technique capable of easily generating image data of a desired set of images in a simple operation.
A camera 1 comprises a display panel 135 having a plurality of display regions, an operation unit 123 which accepts a photographing instruction and a cancellation instruction, and an imaging unit which images a subject to acquire an image. The camera 1 further includes a display control unit and a set-of-images processing unit 109c. When the operation unit 123 accepts the photographing instruction, the display control unit controls the display panel 135 so that the display panel changes the image displayed in a display region from a live view image to a frame image acquired according to the photographing information. When the operation unit 123 accepts a cancellation instruction specifying a display region in which the frame image is displayed, the display control unit controls the display panel 135 so that the display panel changes an image displayed in the specified display region to a prescribed image. The set-of-images processing unit 109c synthesizes image data of a plurality of images displayed in a plurality of display regions to generate image data of a set of images laid out so that the plurality of images are displayed as shown on the display panel 135.
