Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel structure with which it becomes possible to widen a dynamic range without increasing a pixel area.SOLUTION: An imaging region includes a plurality of pixels each including: a photoelectric conversion part 301; a charge storage region 305 for storing therein signal charges generated by the photoelectric conversion part 301; a first transfer part for transferring electric charges of the charge storage region 305 to a floating diffusion region 308; a second transfer unit for transferring signal charges from the photoelectric conversion unit 301 to the charge storage region 305; and an amplification unit for amplifying a signal. An optical waveguide 302, a microlens 303, and a light shielding part 306 are further included. A part of the optical waveguide 302 is arranged in an opening part of the light shielding part 306 and the plurality of pixels included in the imaging region are controlled so that their exposure times become the same in an imaging plane.
