Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for AD conversion suitable for an imaging pixel and a function pixel, respectively, in a solid state image sensor including two different parallel AD converters.MEANS FOR SOLVING THE PROBLEM: An imaging device includes a pixel region where a plurality of pixels are arranged in matrix, vertical output lines transmitting the analog signal from the pixel for each row, a plurality of AD converters provided for at least some vertical output lines, and converting an analog signal into a digital value, and a control section switching a first mode for converting an analog signal into a digital signal by means of the first AD converter out of the plurality of AD converters, and a second mode for converting an analog signal into a digital signal by means of the second AD converter out of the plurality of AD converters.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
