Abstract:
To shorten the time until image data of an appropriate amplification factor is generated from when a light shielding unit is switched to an open state.SOLUTION: An imaging device 10 comprises: a lens cover 11; an illuminance meter 17; illumination light sources 161, 162 that emit illumination light; an actuator 44 that switches the lens cover 11 to one of a first state in which incidence of subject light to an imaging element 13 is limited and a second state in which subject light enters the imaging element 13; a first filter 181 that does not permit illumination light to enter the imaging element 13; and a second filter 182 that permits illumination light to enter the imaging element 13. The imaging device further includes a switching unit 18 that locates one of the first filter 181 and the second filter 182 to the front of the imaging element 13 in accordance with the ambient brightness detected by the illuminance meter 17, and a setup unit 36 that sets the value of magnification factor that is used when an image processing unit 35 generates image data, in accordance with the ambient brightness detected by the illuminance meter 17 in the first state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
