To solve the problems, wherein when the temperature of an imaging device varies, the base length varies and accurate distance measurements become difficult and in mass production, there is degree of the variation in the base length becoming dispersed, according to the mounted state of individual item and thus accurate compensation of temperature for the distance measurement becomes difficult.
This imaging device has a lens array provided with a plurality of lenses that is integrated, a plurality of image pickup areas corresponding, respectively, one-to-one to the lenses of the lens array, and a case for holding the lens array, and the lens array is fixed at a single prescribed point to the case. The lens array is held such that it can be varied in a shape by thermal expansion, around the single point prescribed in relation to the case.
