Abstract:
To provide a small-sized, high-performance imaging optical system and an imaging apparatus using the imaging optical system.
As for the imaging apparatus equipped with the imaging optical system and an imaging element arranged on the image side of the imaging optical system, the imaging optical system is constituted of a biconvex 1st positive lens L1, a 2nd negative lens L2, a 3rd positive lens L3 and a meniscus 4th positive lens L4 in this order from the object side, provided that f1 denotes the focal distance of the 1st positive lens, Ih denotes the maximum image height of the imaging optical system, a conditional expression: 0.5<f1/Ih<1.8 is satisfied.
