Abstract:
To provide an image capturing optical system capable of correcting well for aberrations while suppressing variation in view angle during focusing.SOLUTION: An image capturing optical system is provided, comprising, in order from the object side to the image side, a first lens group having negative power, a second lens group having positive power, a third lens group having negative power, and a fourth lens group having power. The first lens group comprises, in order from the object side to the image side, a negative lens element L1a, a negative lens element L1b, and a negative lens element L1c, or a meniscus lens with negative power having a convex surface on the image side. The third lens group moves along an optical axis when shifting focus from infinity to a short distance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
