A CPU 20 of a controller 2 for acquiring an image frame imaged by a camera 1 detects an imaged region of a face of a driver imaged as the object from the acquired image frame and calculates an average luminance of the detected imaged region of the face. Further, when the calculated average luminance is greater than a maximum luminance denoting a preset luminance range, the CPU 20 increases an amplification factor of an amplifier 14 of the camera 1, and when the calculated average luminance is smaller than a minimum luminance denoting a preset luminance range, the CPU 20 decreases the amplification factor of the amplifier 14 of the camera 1.
